Mum has always told us how proud of us she was at various times in our lives. Don't get me wrong she also told us off sometimes, but to be honest I don't think we ever told her how proud we were of her. She never complained when we turned up unexpectedly and somehow always turned out a meal or sandwiches, and she always made our friends and partners feel welcome. I've always said to people I know I would be very proud if I turned out half the lady my mum is, and yes I truly mean it!
