Alison and I went to see Mum in hospital in Coventry on the Wednesday after her operation. As we sat talking she asked which way we came in the end - this was because Ian had gone to great lengths a few days previously at their house to tell us the best route. We told him we would just put it in the Sat Nav. This didn't deter him from going into great detail about Baginton Airport and Binley etc. We laughed at Mum's question and told her we had just put it in the Sat Nav - as we said we would - and had come via the M42 and the M6, which was quite easy. She nodded and said 'Ian's got his ways, and they're his ways, but they're not necessarily the best ways!' We all had a good laugh about it and then gave each other a knowing look later when Ian turned up and asked which way we had come! That sadly was the last time we spoke to Mum.
